Dainik India News Lucknow, July 7, 2024: Under the leadership of Aparimeya Shyam Das Ji, the head of ISKCON Temple in Lucknow, a divine Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was organized, starting from Ravindralaya located in Charbagh. After the puja and aarti, the massive and heavy chariot was set in motion. Devotees claimed that they did not even need to put much effort into pulling the chariot, as it seemed to move on its own. It is believed that Lord Jagannath comes among his devotees, riding on nature, to give them his divine darshan.

The Rath Yatra began from Ravindralaya and concluded at the DM office. A massive crowd of devotees gathered during this journey, eagerly pulling the divine chariot of Lord Jagannath. This event symbolized not only religious fervor but also conveyed social messages.

Jitendra Pratap Singh, the National President of the Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh, joined the Rath Yatra after offering prayers and worship to Lord Jagannath with his fellow workers. He swept in front of Lord Jagannath’s chariot, spreading the message of cleanliness. He stated, “Sweeping in front of Lord Jagannath’s chariot is a great service, and through this, we want to make everyone understand the importance of cleanliness.”

The route of the Yatra was beautifully decorated, and community feasts (bhandaras) were organized at several places, where devotees received prasad.

The story of Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra also enhances the significance of this journey. It is said that when Lord Jagannath sets out to give darshan to his devotees, his chariot moves on its own, as if the Lord himself is reaching his devotees through his divine power. This extraordinary experience becomes a precious memory for the devotees.

This Rath Yatra in Lucknow once again proved that the grace of Lord Jagannath and the devotion of his followers are unwavering. This religious event brought everyone together, delivering a message of unity and love.
