Dainik india news,New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conferred a total of 32 medals to Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel in New Delhi today, recognizing their exemplary service, acts of valour, and selfless dedication to duty under challenging and extreme conditions.
The awards included six President’s Tatrakshak Medals (Distinguished Service), 11 Tatrakshak Medals (Gallantry), and 15 Tatrakshak Medals (Meritorious Service). These honors celebrate the bravery and commitment of ICG personnel in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
Addressing the gathering, Raksha Mantri lauded the Indian Coast Guard for evolving into a formidable, trustworthy, and one of the world’s most efficient marine forces. He urged the personnel to remain vigilant against both conventional and unconventional threats, emphasizing the critical role of the force in ensuring maritime security.
