Sustainable Development Goal 9 (Goal 9 or SDG 9) is about “industry, innovation and infrastructure” and is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. SDG 9 aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Luminaries from the world of the academia and industry graced the occasion.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Prof N.B.Singh Vice –Chancellor Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University Lucknow and the Guest of Honor, were Padamshree Dr.Rajni Kant, Mr.A.K.Mathur, vice president L.M.A. and Mr.Virendra Kumar Regional Director, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were, Dr. Dharmendra Singh , Aditya Vidyasagar, Praveen Dwivedi, Milind Raj Deepak Mishra, Ankur Handa, prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh.
Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Prof N.B.Singh, said that, this was a very good topic and has much relevance to the current day scenario. He emphasized on holistic development with priority for economy, environment and social justice.
Padamshree national IP awardee Dr. Rajnikant appreciated the efforts of S.M.S College for its contribution in higher education. Dr.Rajnikant narrated the history of India and its ‘sone ki chidiya’ status in past. He attracted attention on development inclusive of poor people and their socio- economic upliftment.
Chief Executive officer and patron of conference Mr.Sharad Singh said that S.M.S is committed for its value education and these types of programs enhance the knowledge of students and faculty.
Prof.(Dr.) Manoj Mehrotra told that about 100 papers were presented and compiled into a compendium. The Compendium of 100 abstracts was released by the esteemed guests and dignitaries.
Prof. (Dr.) B.R.Singh congratulated the organizing committee for thinking beyond the usual and organizing a national conference on a subject which is so pertinent today.
The technical sessions were chaired by prof. Pavnesh Kumar Dean S.M.S and prof. Alok Kumar Dean Gopal Narayan University Rohtas and the valedictory address was delivered by Prof Rana Singh Director Chandragupta Institute of Management.
Dr.Ashish Bhatnagar convener of the conference delivered the vote of thanks.
