“Kings George’s Medical University, Lucknow, to Launch ‘Sanskrit Vithika’ Initiative”

Dainik india news Lucknow:In an effort to acquaint students with Sanskrit and ancient medical research texts, Kings George’s Medical University in Lucknow is gearing up to launch the ‘Sanskrit Vithika’ program. This significant decision was reached during a meeting attended by prominent individuals including Dr. Sonia Nityanand, Vice-Chancellor of Kings George’s Medical University, and JP Singh, President of Sanskrit Bharati Nyas Avadh Prant. Alongside them were Dr. Vineet Varma and R.K. Tiwari, Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad, who engaged in an extensive deliberation.

One of the key resolutions of the meeting was to provide comprehensive subject-specific details to Dr. Jagadish Narayan for the establishment of the ‘Vithika’ at the Kalam Center, facilitated by Sanskrit Bharati Nyas. After a thorough study, the Vice-Chancellor will give her approval to the proposed subject.

JP Singh, the President of Sanskrit Bharati Nyas Avadh Prant, will take the lead in compiling ancient medical texts such as Sushruta Samhita, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Charaka Samhita, among others. These texts will be integrated with Vedas, Upanishads, and contemporary medical subjects.

The ‘Sanskrit Vithika’ initiative is expected to serve as a guiding light in nurturing students’ interest and knowledge in both Sanskrit literature and medical research. JP Singh expressed his gratitude towards all participants, including the Vice-Chancellor, for their consent and support in laying the foundation for the ‘Vithika’ subject.
