Dainik India news,Lucknow, India | April 23, 2025: A brutal terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, where Hindu pilgrims were selectively targeted and killed, has sparked nationwide outrage in India. According to reports, terrorists sponsored by Pakistan carried out the attack, asking pilgrims about their religion and shooting them upon identifying sacred Hindu threads (Kalawa) on their wrists — a clear sign of religious hate.

The attack has been widely condemned by Indian citizens, with thousands participating in protest demonstrations across Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. Civil society leaders, spiritual representatives, and community organizations gathered in large numbers, voicing anger against cross-border terrorism and demanding immediate action from the Indian government.

“India is silent, not coward” — National Sanatan Federation Chief
Jitendra Pratap Singh, All-India President of the Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh (National Sanatan Federation), strongly addressed the protest:
“If Pakistan-backed terrorists don’t stop, they will face the same consequences as those in Myanmar — where India entered and eliminated terrorist hideouts. We are not cowards. Sanatan Dharma (Hindu civilization) believes in peace, but when attacked, we know how to wield our weapons.”
He further added, “No more tributes and condolences — we demand justice and military action now.”
Widespread Protests Across Lucknow
Protests were not limited to one location. Demonstrations were reported from various points in Lucknow including near the statue of Sardar Patel, a key national leader. Protesters carried banners reading “Hindu Lives Matter” and “Stop Islamic Terrorism in Kashmir”, and shouted slogans demanding retaliation.
Community leaders, including monks, scholars, and concerned citizens, condemned the attack as a pre-planned religious genocide. They urged the central government to step up security for Hindu pilgrims and take decisive action against the perpetrators and their sponsors.
Killings Based on Religious Identity: A Wake-Up Call
According to eye-witnesses, terrorists asked passengers their names and religions and shot them upon identifying them as Hindus. “They looked for Kalawas — red threads tied by Hindus for blessings — and pulled the trigger,” said one protestor in tears. “Is this humanity?”
International Condemnation, But Indians Demand Action
The incident has drawn global condemnation. The United States, France, and Israel have extended their support to India in the fight against terrorism. However, the Indian public is growing impatient with mere words of solidarity. They now demand real, visible action — not only at the borders but also within India against extremist ideologies.
As the chants of “Pakistan Murdabad” (Down with Pakistan) echoed in Lucknow, the message became clear — India’s patience is wearing thin.
