The renowned senior cardiac surgery specialist, Dr. Sudip Kumar, from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), passed away on Thursday after a prolonged illness, marking a significant loss to the medical community. Dr. Sudip dedicated his life to saving the lives of thousands of patients, and his unwavering commitment to society has been widely recognized and appreciated. Various social organizations also expressed their condolences to his family and paid tribute to his memory.
Dr. Sudip Kumar was an alumnus of King George’s Medical University (KGMU), where he completed his MBBS in 1989, followed by his MD in 1997. He later earned his DM in Cardiology from SGPGIMS in 2000. In 2004, he joined SGPGIMS as a faculty member, where he significantly contributed to the field of cardiology and published over 225 international research papers.
On this sorrowful occasion, Jitendra Pratap Singh, the president of the Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh, offered heartfelt condolences on behalf of all members and officials of the organization. He stated, “The entire Sanatan family stands with Dr. Sudip’s family during this challenging time. We are all with them and pray to Lord Shri Ram to grant them the strength to bear this loss.”
Jitendra Pratap Singh remembered Dr. Sudip as a simple, easy-going, and multi-talented individual with whom he shared various occasions. He remarked, “Dr. Sudip Kumar was diligent, dedicated, and committed to his medical duties. His life teaches us the importance of kindness and service.”
