KVS 53rd National Cricket Championship: Delhi Triumphs Over Chennai to Become Champion

Dainik India News, Lucknow: The 53rd KVS National Sports Championship’s T-20 cricket final, hosted at the PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gomti Nagar, concluded with Delhi emerging victorious. In an exciting match held at the SEG Cricket Stadium, Delhi defeated Chennai by 5 wickets to claim the championship title.

Chennai, batting first, was bowled out for 94 runs in 18.1 overs. In response, Delhi chased down the target in 17.2 overs, losing just 5 wickets. The Lucknow Region team secured third place by defeating Jaipur in the playoff match.

The closing ceremony of the cricket championship witnessed the presence of the chief guest, Arjuna Awardee and former volleyball captain, Ranveer Singh, who handed over the trophy to the winning team. Mrs. Sona Seth, Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Lucknow Division), also honored the victors on this occasion.

Principal Sanjeev Kumar Agrawal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gomti Nagar, officially announced the conclusion of the 53rd KVS National Sports Championship. He lauded the efforts of the entire school staff for their dedication in making the event a success and encouraged them to continue working as a cohesive team in the future. He also extended his best wishes to the students for their bright futures.

The closing ceremony was attended by Vice Principal of the first shift, Mrs. Sangeeta Saxena, Vice Principal of the second shift, Mr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Assistant Experience Officer Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Headmaster of the first shift, Arunesh Vaishya, along with other senior teachers.
