Chandrayaan-3’s Historic Triumph: Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh Extends Heartfelt Congratulations to ISRO

Dainik india news,23 Aug 2024 new Delhi:India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission has achieved a momentous success with its soft landing on the Moon’s southern pole, marking India as the inaugural nation to reach this elusive lunar region. This extraordinary achievement, orchestrated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), represents a significant advancement in India’s space exploration capabilities.

Historical Context:

  • Chandrayaan-1: Launched in October 2008, this pioneering mission was India’s first venture to the Moon. It notably contributed to the discovery of water molecules on the lunar surface before its mission concluded in August 2009.
  • Chandrayaan-2: Initiated in July 2019, this mission sought a soft landing in the Moon’s southern polar region. While the orbiter achieved its objectives and continues to provide valuable data, the lander, Vikram, encountered challenges during its descent, failing to achieve a soft landing.
  • Chandrayaan-3: Building on the lessons learned from its predecessor, Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14, 2023, with a focused objective to accomplish a successful soft landing on the Moon’s southern pole—a feat previously unattained by any nation. On August 23, 2023, the mission achieved this historic milestone with a successful landing.

In recognition of this monumental success, Jitendra Pratap Singh, the National President of the Rashtriya Sanatan Mahasangh, has extended heartfelt congratulations to ISRO and its dedicated scientific team. Singh, who observed the Chandrayaan-3 mission firsthand, remarked, “The triumph of Chandrayaan-3 exemplifies India’s scientific prowess and relentless perseverance. This mission underscores our profound cultural and scientific heritage, continually motivating us to transcend the boundaries of exploration. We take immense pride in ISRO’s unwavering dedication and this remarkable achievement in space exploration.”

The Mahasangh praised ISRO for its pivotal role in advancing India’s scientific and technological frontiers and acknowledged Chandrayaan-3’s success as a seminal milestone for future space missions. This achievement acts as a beacon of inspiration for the nation’s youth, galvanizing them to excel in the realms of science and technology.

On National Space Day, the relentless efforts of ISRO’s scientists and engineers were duly recognized. The success of Chandrayaan-3 has not only elevated India’s global standing but has also instilled a profound sense of national pride. This achievement has been celebrated both domestically and internationally, highlighting India’s significant contributions to space science and exploration.
