The Campus of Hoerner College was abuzz with Literary Pursuits as the Birth Anniversary of Mrs. V.S.Singh the Co-Founder of the College, was celebrated.
As always the school had its Annual Intercollegiate Festival Literati’ which saw the participation of eminent schools in a large number As has been the custom ‘Literati is organized every year alternatively in Hindi and English Language This year it was the turn of Hindi and 20 schools participated enthusiastically to prove their mastery of the language. Students from Lamartiniere Boys and Lamartiniere Girls College, Spring Dale School, Gurukul Academy, Seth M.R.Jaipuria Vardaan International, Modern School, G.D.Goenka St. Teresa and different branches of CMS along with another host of prominent schools came all decked up in traditional costumes to relive the heritage of Hindi
Literature.
The Chief Guest for the day was Mr.J.P.singh, Adhyaksh, Sanskrit Bharti Nayas, and Avadh Print, an eminent poet and writer. Along with him many eminent luminaries like Ms. Manjit Batra, Senior Principal CMS Gomti Nagar Campus 1 & 2, Mr.Vivek Pundit an eminent writer, Mrs. Rena Singh Ghai Member Hoerner College Society, Mr.Chandra Shekhar Verma, Mrs. Meenu Tandon, Mrs.Sudha Shukla, Mrs. Vineeta Shukla Dr.Sushma Srivastava, Mrs.Neelam Rakesh all elite members of Literary Field graced the occasion.
The Programme started with the Lighting of the Lamp by J P SINGH Chief Guest and paying floral tributes to the portrait of
Mrs. Virginia Singh What followed were the different categories of competition which were very meticulously planned and executed. The Competitions included Stage Enactment Drawing & Painting Story and Poem Composition all on the literary themes provided on the spot. The Judges had a tough time deciding the winners as the competition was quite close. In the Drawing and Painting Segment which was for the Primary Section Richa Jain of CMS Station Road won the first prize, and Hemant Shukla, from Gurukul Academy, won the first prize in the Self Written Poem Competition which was also for the Primary Section.
In the Junior Section, the competitions were “Anubhav Lekhan “and “Kahani Lekhan in which Jishisha Singh of CMS Station Road and Saanvi Srivastava of Gurukul Academy won the first prize respectively. Mushtaba All Khan of CMS Chowk and Surabhi Tewari of Seth M.R.Jaipuria were the proud winners in the Senior Category Competition which was Stage Enactment and Story Interpretation. The last
The category was a Ramp Walk by all the participants in which Ahaana Swarnakar of Lamartiniere Girls
College Alakh Singh Baghel and MrityunjayPandey of Scholars Home bagged the first position in
the Primary Junior and Senior Category
The Best School Trophy was lifted by Gurukul Academy.
All the eminent Guests applauded the endeavor of Hoerner College and enlightened the young minds The Literati-2022, therefore, was a Glitterati of sorts with participatory Schools shining through. A Vote of Thanks was extended by the Principal Dr. Mala Mehra with a promise to meet next year with the English Literature.
