Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted at the BHU helipad upon his arrival in Varanasi by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday.
CM Yogi arrived in BHU an hour and a half early to receive the Prime Minister and go through all the arrangements. CM reached Babatpur airport directly from Lucknow, where he took a chopper to the BHU helipad.
The Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the inauguration and programme of ‘Kashi Tamil Sangamam’. During the programme, the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister shared the stage.
The security arrangements on the BHU campus were rigorous in view of the arrival of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister. The SPG was in charge of the security arrangements, while the local police and administrative officers kept taking updates.
The Prime Minister was wearing the traditional dhoti, shirt, and ‘angavastram’ of Tamil Nadu.
