Discussions Focus on Pediatric Nephrology Services, Advanced Diagnostic Infrastructure, OPD Expansion and Institutional Growth at AIIMS Noida
Dainik India News, New Delhi.In a significant interaction highlighting the continued advancement of pediatric healthcare infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Jitendra Pratap Singh, National President of Rashtriy Sanatan mahasangh, paid a courtesy visit to Dr. A.K. Singh, Director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Noida, on Saturday morning. During the meeting, he appreciated Dr. Singh’s leadership and his sustained contribution toward strengthening tertiary pediatric healthcare services and institutional development.
A key focus of the discussion was the establishment of the newly created Department of Pediatric Nephrology, a specialized clinical unit dedicated to the diagnosis, management, and long-term care of renal disorders in children. The department is expected to enhance AIIMS Noida’s capability in delivering comprehensive pediatric nephrology care through advanced clinical protocols and multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
The meeting also reviewed several ongoing infrastructure development initiatives, including the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) imaging facility, the construction of a new Outpatient Department (OPD) complex, and proposals for acquiring additional land to facilitate the institute’s future expansion. These initiatives, supported through coordination with the Noida Authority and the state government, are expected to significantly strengthen AIIMS Noida’s clinical, diagnostic, and patient-care capacity.
Mr Singh also acknowledged the support extended by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Brajesh Pathak toward improving the state’s healthcare ecosystem. He further appreciated the proactive vision of the Chief Minister in prioritizing the expansion of medical institutions and enhancing access to quality healthcare services across Uttar Pradesh.
